Ladera

Ladera looks as if it has grown out of the hilltop. Its 25 guest rooms and stunning restaurant are all open -- literally -- to the fresh breezes and what must surely be the most breath-taking view of the world.

Taking full advantage of its natural surroundings, Ladera offers a unique design in guest accommodations. The six villas and nineteen suites all have an "open wall" - the west side of each unit is left open to expose the breathtaking view, and the orientation of the buildings maintains complete privacy. The resort features a scenic pool and deck area and each comes with a plunge pool.

Dasheene, Ladrea’s award-winning restaurant, has been refurbished and expanded. The view inside Dasheene complements the one outside. Guests from all over the island come to Dasheene to soak up the panoramic view through open-walls, sip cocktails in the Tcholit Bar, listen to live music and enjoy a creative menu featuring local and international delicacies.

• Rates are in US Dollars based on single/double occupancy per night, and subject to a 10% service charge and 8% government tax. Rates include breakfast, afternoon tea, full use of the resort facilities, complimentary beach shuttle and use of snorkelling equipment.
  
  
• Meals Plans (non commissionable) - All-inclusive supplement US $165 per person per day plus 18% tax and gratuity, includes 3 meals per day, afternoon tea, all drinks by the glass (bottled wines and champagne not included). A surcharge for lobster applies according to availability. Lunch and dinner supplement US $100 per person per day plus 18% tax and gratuity. • Children - Ladera is an adult resort and does not accept children under the age of 15. NOTE: During Christmas - New Year (December 21 - January 2), Families with children ages 7 to 14 are welcome for the holidays free of charge for accommodation.

• Deposit - a deposit of two nights room charge is required to guarantee your booking.
  
  
• Cancellation Policy - Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore we are forced to adhere to a strict cancellation policy. A cancellation charge, equal to two nights accommodation will be charged for cancellations made later than 21 days prior to date of arrival. For guests departing prior to their departure date, we reserve the right to charge an early departure fee equal to two night's room accommodation. We encourage guests to take travel insurance to cover against cancellations or date changes in unforeseen circumstances, as we are unable to refund deposits for any reason within the cancellation policy.
  
  
• Transfers - airport transfers are arranged by Ladera at the following rates: GFL Charles Airport (SLU) to or from US $90 per couple one way / Hewanorra Airport (UVF) to or from US $90 per couple, one way. Special arrangements can be made in advance for a daylight Water Taxi transfer from GFL Charles Airport to or from, US $200 per couple one way. These prices are subject to change without notice.
  

The Plantation

The Plantation Resort is an affordable way to experience St. Lucia. They offer the very best in accommodation; their five spacious rooms and one self-contained cottage guarantee your privacy whilst providing you all the comforts of home.

The Plantation Resort is situated on a 52-acre former coconut and cocoa estate overlooking the tranquil town of Soufriere.

The rooms are painted in white with pale blue trim, in the style of the colonial Caribbean with fretwork trim. The three upper rooms are very spacious with high ceilings, hardwood floors and king-size beds.

The two lower level rooms have red clay tiled floors, one with king size bed and one with two twin size beds. All rooms have private balconies and ensuite bathrooms. They are fully equipped with - ceiling fans, fridge, electric kettle, toaster and ample closet space. The furniture in all rooms is antique white rattan, designed to make your stay "a home away from home."

The one-bedroom self-contained cottage is two floors with bedroom and balcony on the upper level and kitchen/living room below. It is finished to that same style and standard as the room, but is self-contained with fridge, kettle, toaster, stove and television. Bedroom has king-size bed and ceiling fan.

The Plantation Restaurant is situated on the Western side of the island of St. Lucia overlooking the famous and majestic Pitons, the steamy volcano, Sulphur Springs and the sleepy town of Soufriere. The deep blue Caribbean Sea graces all of these wonders

Jalousie Plantation Resort & Spa opened in October 1992 and is a deluxe, hideaway nested in the valley of the towering Gros and Petit Piton mountains on the southwest coast of St. Lucia. Jalousie Plantation boasts one of the most sophisticated spas in all of the Caribbean. SPORTS & ACTIVITIES:

Watersports: In addition to an enormous fresh water swimming pool, 100 feet in length, guests enjoy a picture-perfect private beach and protected coral marine reserve at Jalousie Plantation. Equipment and instruction are available for snorkeling, scuba diving, water-skiing, windsurfing, kayaking, aqua cycling, sailboats, hobie cats, and catamarans.

Golf: An executive golf course features three holes that are replicas of world-famous course holes: the 13th at Harbour Town on Hilton Head Island, the 15th at Olympic Club in San Francisco and the legendary 8th at Royal Troon in Scotland. Each hole is played from three different tee-offs, for a nine-hole experience.

Tennis: Carved into the slopes of the Pitons high above the beach, the riveting views from the tennis courts are an inspiration. The resort's tennis pros lead clinics, organize guest tournaments and give private lessons on four Laykold hard surface courts, three of which are lit (as well as some of the guests) for night play. The Pro Shop offers ball machines, racket stringing, tennis apparel and gear at a moderate cost.

Other Sports: Basketball squash, croquet, ping pony, hiking, horseback riding.

Entertaining Diversions: Guests at Jalousie Plantation never run out of things to do. Depending on their whim, guests may dine casually or elegantly:

Pier Restaurant: This open-air restaurant at the water's edge, with picturesque views of the Jalousie Cove Marina, showcases fresh seafood and local specialties for dinner. On Sundays, this is the spot for a tropical buffet brunch accompanied by the mellow rhythms of a jazz band.

Verandah Restaurant: Each day begins here, on an expansive wrap-around terrace overlooking the Great Lawn. Bountiful breakfast buffets include fresh fruits, juices, home-baked breads, muffins and pastries, eggs and omelettes cooked to order and a hearty selection of pancakes, French toast, ham, sausage and home fried potatoes.

Bayside Bar and Grill: Perfectly positioned between the pool and beach and beneath the soaring peak of the Petit Piton, this open air grill and buffet offers a wide luncheon selection of salads, vegetables, meats and cheeses.

Plantation Room: This elegant dining room features sophisticated five-course Euro- Caribbean dinners complemented by moonlit bay views from upstairs at The Jacquot Greathouse.

Bars and Lounges: Jalousie Plantation offers four bars and lounges, including a juice bar at the spa; the Palm Court for afternoon tea and sunset views; the Pier Bar by the sailboats in the bay; and the Bayside Bar, delivering drinks to chaises by the pool and on the beach.

• The above rates include 18% tax and are based on double occupancy. Extra person USD$50.00 per person per night, meal plan price to be added to the extra person rate.
• Children’s Policy: Children under 12 years and teenagers under 16 years stay free in the same room as the parents. Children under the age of 12 receive free breakfast and 50% off meal plans.
• Minimum stay of 7 nights between December 21st 2008 and January 3rd, 2009 inclusive.
• Room Service and Mini Bar are not included in the meal plan supplements.

Terms & Conditions:

Children 12 and under sharing the same room as the parent are free in the room, receive free breakfast and 50% off all meals and meal plans (not applicable to the Children’s Menu). Children 5 and under eat free.

Room Only and All Inclusive bookings cannot be combined.

A three (3) night deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance of the accommodation will be charged 21 days prior to arrival.

The 3 night deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is received between 21 – 8 days prior to arrival. Full accommodation charge will be forfeited(non-refundable) for changes or cancellations received 7 days or less prior to arrival or for “no shows”.

The Bayside Bar & Restaurant is located by the beach and serves lunch daily with one themed evening buffet.

The Plantation Room -- A la Carte dinner served 6 nights per week.

The Pier – A la Carte 6 nights a week.

Watersports:     All non motorized water sports (except Scuba Diving) is included such as snorkelling, Windsurfing, Sailing and Kayaking.
