A thank you poem :-)

Now this really made my week…Just got a thank you poem from Ian and Mel Cornwell.

Kayt

Once Mel and I had long enough courted,
and our wedding in St Lucia we wanted to get sorted, we fired up our computer and headed at full speed to awesomecaribbeanweddings.com where they’ve got all that you need.
with Kayt and Michelle and the rest of their team soon our plans were heading at full steam.
Nothing we asked for was too much trouble and the answers we wanted always came on the double.
we got emails to help perfect all our individual whims from songlists and menus and fine table trims.
We had already chosen the perfect location and we got that right with a thrown in vacation.
Next was the venue and this island has it all either the beach or a sea view or the ruins old and tall.
Onto the reception, and I admit I am biased for in regards to Jacques, I hold them the highest.
If your must have food is meat or fresh fish then trust ‘le froggy’ to create the perfect dish.
and Cathy the warm welcome that your restaurant achieved was hard for my new wife and I to have believed.
The fire dancing ladies were literally smoking hot and with their show high adrenalin we got.
We danced into the night and then we departed to a surprise luxury ending where the honeymoon started.
I could write lots more but I just wanted to say choose awesome caribbean weddings if you want the perfect day.

Huge Thanks to you Kayt and your team!!!!!!!

Lots of love, Ian and Mel

Customising your wedding ceremony

We encourage our couples to customise their wedding ceremony, to make it unique to them and really bring their personalities through. We can also help with this if it seems daunting!
Here is a beautiful poem that can also be used as part of your vows to each other;

MY LOVE
~ Linda Lee Elrod ~

When I met you, I had no idea
how much my life
was about to be changed…
but then, how could I have known?

A love like ours happens
once in a lifetime.
You were a miracle to me,
the one who was everything
I had ever dreamed of,
the one I thought existed
only in my imagination.

And when you came into my life,
I realized that what I
had always thought
was happiness
couldn’t compare to the joy
loving you brought me.

You are a part of everything
I think and do and feel,
and with you by my side,
I believe that anything is possible.
(this day) gives me a chance
to thank you for the miracle of you…
you are, and always will be,
the love of my life.

Have a great day - Kayt

Choosing a veil for your wedding in St. Lucia

In St. Lucia we are blessed with a constant cooling breeze. Great for keeping us a more comfortable temperature but can play havoc with long cathedral veils! After all you don’t want to be over taken by your veil as you walk down the aisle.
Even if you are getting married in one of our beautiful churches you will still be having photos in outdoor locations so its certainly something to consider.

If you decide you would like to wear a veil choose an elbow length or short veil – which are proving to be a strong trend currently anyway and make sure it has some style of weighting around the edge. The weighting/trim around the edge of the veil can take many forms such as beading, pearls or crystals.

Think about the type, fabric and trim that will compliment your wedding dress and style of your wedding. If you are having a semi – formal or formal wedding a veil with a tiara attachment could be a good choice for you.

It’s also a good idea to remember that you may want to have photos at your ceremony and afterwards with the veil and then maybe remove it for your reception. So pick a veil attachment style that will be able to be removed and disturb your hair style as little as possible. This is the part where bridesmaids and wedding planners come in handy.

Here are a few sites I have found.

If you have bought your veil and have had great service and received a fabulous veil please let us know where you purchased it from so we can let other brides know.
