Russ and I would like to thank Kayt and the team for making our wedding day the most memorable day of our lives. Like most we knew we wanted a destination wedding but the toughest decision was on which island to hold the ceremony. This choice was made easy when within 24hrs we received an email back from Awesome Caribbean Weddings laying out the first draft of the wedding programme which was perfect to what we wanted from our special day. I can't stress enough how very many other planners told me “no” to so many things I had questions on…Kayt never once said no!!! She made everything happen, no matter how silly the request. From the extra decorations, finding us a private location, and even the mini champagne bottles, AWC did everything!!! The steel pan drum player even learned a song just for us, THANK YOU!!!! Everyone on staff that we met was nice, helpful and always had a smile on their faces! This team really knows how to handle ANYTHING that comes up. We knew from all of the pictures on your website that you did a great job, however once we arrived; we realized you had truly created the wedding of our dreams! After getting hooked on the pictures, I sent ACW an email requesting some more information. Not really sure if I’d hear back from them that week (as I hadn't from so many other companies) I was ecstatic when I received a response the very next day. It was full of suggestions and different options for having the sunset beach wedding we were looking for!
Our ACW planner was Kayt...and she was absolutely fantastic! One thing I really appreciated was how quickly and thoroughly she answered every one of my emails! Other wedding coordinators that I tried to get feed back from responded to me on "island time." You'll learn this term when you get to St. Lucia (or if you've been to a tropical island before). It means that things happen when they are going to happen. There is no rushing or sense of urgency- great for vacationing but clearly not the way we do things in the States and not particularly conducive to planning an event. However, Kayt was phenomenal. I would send messages at all hours of the day and night (sometimes I'd wake up with a question!) and she'd get back to me the very next morning if not within a couple of hours. Really helpful for keeping the planning process going!

We were having around 20 guests and wanted a private beach setting. We decided on Pigeon Island at sunset. I felt good during the entire planning process. All of my questions were answered right away and I knew there was someone there taking care of me. Having an "ally" on the island really helped calm me down with the whole GETTING MARRIED SOMEWHERE I'D NEVER EVEN SEEN BEFORE!
Now, about our wedding: Kayt met with us the day after we made it to the island. We had to have our paperwork expressed because we weren't on the island for the two full business days required before our ceremony. (Got in Friday night and were having our wedding Monday). Kayt made sure that all of our paperwork was submitted and also went over the schedule for the big day. Then she took us out to Pigeon Island so we could get a better feel for our venue. I was a little unsure about walking down the stairs to the beach in my dress, it had a long train. So, Kayt made sure I practiced the trip down and felt comfortable. The stairs weren't so scary and she promised no one had ever fallen before!
The day of, Kayt sent over the flowers I had requested for my sister's and my mother's hair. She was also available at all times on her cell phone. I even called to find out where I should go to get a manicure. We opted to have the bamboo canopy in our wedding. I was a little hesitant about putting decorations down on the beach...it was so beautiful all on its own! But, in the end we went with the flower adorned canopy. It shaded our faces during the ceremony (it is bright down there) and framed us so nicely in our pictures. We put together our own vows to repeat and the officiant was really entertaining with them. We were taken a little of to the side to sign the contract after the vows and then back under the canopy for more pictures and the announcement of us as a married couple. The whole process only took a half hour at the most which was great because my fiancé hates being in front of a crowd.
One thing I'd advise getting is the wedding DVD. It was really amazing and so professional. Chris made me feel like a movie star...not at all like a traditional cheesy home movie! We had brought our own music with us for the guests to listen to while we went around taking pictures. Chris incorporated these tracks into our video and made it that much more personal. A really nice touch.
One thing I would have changed: We had our reception at the Coco Creole, just across the way from the Coco Palm where our entire crew was staying. It was convenient to the hotel which was nice, our gests could change after the wedding if they wanted or head back to their room whenever they were ready to call it a night. However, I used the local event rep for the Coco properties to coordinate our reception. She was very nice. The location and the service were great but things didn't go as smoothly as they did when
One last thing, I can't stress this enough, try the ginger cake! We had a two layer cake from ACW with butter cream icing. The larger bottom layer was the ginger and it was so good. It practically disappeared in a matter of minutes. I'm thinking about trying to get some sent up for our anniversary! We kept our top layer to eat while we were honeymooning on the island. It was the best vanilla cake we'd ever had (truly melts in your mouth) but that ginger cake was a tough act to follow.
I hope this has given some insight into what you can expect with Kayt, Mikael, Chris, and the whole ACW team. If you do end up using them I know you won't regret it!

After a bit of research, I found the Awesome Caribbean Weddings site. I was immediately excited. I was able to look at the photographs of the weddings they had done, and they took my breath away. I read the many testimonials of the other brides and grooms, and all were nothing less than stellar. Again and again, the testimonials mentioned the individual attention, and promptness with which they were dealt with. I knew that this was it. I sent out a request for more information, and Kayt immediately responded. She became our wedding coordinator, and I still get teary-eyed thinking about everything that she did to make our day the most spectacular and special day of our lives. The information she gave was always thorough and complete. She sent pictures, gave ideas, and was always happy to make any changes when I changed my mind on the ceremony details. With Kayt as our captain, the only thing that I was left to worry about was the weather. We knew that June through October was the rainy season in the islands, and also that it was hurricane season. Leading up to August 1 st , I obsessively tracked the storm activity on different hurricane websites. I truly did not want for it to rain, and absolutely did not want a hurricane. August 1 st came, and it was an absolutely beautiful morning. The sun was shining, and the sky was a brilliant blue. I was just so excited to be getting married to the man I loved, in the most beautiful place in the world. As the day moved on, the clouds rolled in, but honestly, at this point, it really didn't matter. All I could think about was Justin, waiting for me. And boy did it rain. It rained enough for Kayt to call Justin, as he was en route to Pigeon Island, to ask if we wanted to search for a different location, and just do it the next day. Justin informed Kayt to call me. I was all set and ready to go, wedding dress was on, the hair was done, and the phone rang. Kayt asked about postponing, but I just didn't care about the weather. I could not bear the thought of waiting another moment to marry Justin. So, she said okay, we'll see you on Pigeon Island. Kayt had had a small tent set up in case there was some weather, so our guests and Justin and I were able to keep dry. She also had umbrellas on hand. And, like a blessing from above, the rain let up as the ceremony began. It was absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect. Our minister, Leslie, was wonderful. He brought a very special element of spirituality to our ceremony, which was something that was very important to us, and to our parents. Even with the clouds, and the intermittent raindrops, our ceremony was magical. The rain blessed us on our special day. Our photographs were absolutely unbelievable. Mikael is a genius. And we know that the DVD will be perfect, because Chris was wonderful to work with. They made it fun. We were laughing the entire time. If we could go back and change anything, we would not be able to think of one thing to change, not even the weather. It could not have been more perfect. And it was all thanks to Kayt. She took care of everything, and only left the weather for me to worry about. And in the end, I didn't even need to worry about that. I am crying right now as I type this, because Justin and I will never ever forget that special day, and everything that Kayt did to help it become the most significant and magical day of our lives. If you are looking to get married on St. Lucia, I recommend, with all of my heart, to have Awesome Caribbean Weddings there by your side, helping you step by step. I came across the "Awesome Caribbean Weddings" website right away, and couldn't believe that it offered everything we were looking for...and more! My fiance thought we should look around more before making a decision. We searched for hours but could not find anything that would offer such personalized service and unique options. We wanted someone to take care of all the little details of our wedding day, and she On the day we had planned on getting married, there was rain and thunderstorms in the forecast. Fenella kept us updated throughout the day, and eventually offered to move the wedding to the next day when the weather would be better. That afternoon, we watched from our room at the resort as several weddings proceeded through a complete downpour because they couldn't change their day. I was never happier that I had chosen 'Awesome Caribbean Weddings'!

I can not say enough about our experience with ACW. Everyone involved is incredible, and truely do everything they can to make your trip memorable. Even our driver was fabulous! We had a ball with Augustin on our way to our wedding, and he even offered to pick us up at our resort the next day for a private tour of the island (which was amazing...we learned so much about St. Lucia!) He even called us later to offer a ride to the airport for our departure since he was going that way anyway. What amazing service! It is this kind of attention & kindness that sets ACW apart from any other wedding company! In addition to planning the wedding itself, Kayt was a great help with other events that we hosted around the ceremony/reception. She helped us find locations for and plan menus for a welcome dinner and a newlywed brunch for our whole party, as well as sourcing a 60-foot boat on short notice for us to take our guests on a cruise! She was extremely helpful with accomodation planning and making sure that our guests had appropriate visas (one-off requirements were set up for the cricket world cup that caught some of our international guests) and it all worked perfectly. We highly recommend Awesome Caribbean Weddings and Kayt for any wedding in St. Lucia! *** Mikael did the photography for our April wedding in St. Lucia, and did a beautiful job. He did the usual set pieces, but also managed to capture the spirit of fun and joy that was so much a part of our day. The images he captured of all of the little details that we put time into made it feel special and intimate, while also getting pictures of us and our guests throughout the event, from the preparations and arrival of the guests through the cake cutting and last dance. Michele started off by booking our ceremony location and home for 11 days - a private villa on the Beau Estate between the famous piton mountains. From then on everything else was effortless! Of course, I panicked about all sorts of little things - especially colour schemes. These 'panicky moments' were always met with a calm e-mail and I soon learned to trust Michele's experience! I even sent a colour swatch over to St Lucia and within a day of receiving it, ACW had been to the florist and matched my flowers to it! When we arrived in St. Lucia I knew we'd made the right choice. The island is so beautiful & must admit to shedding a tear or two when I saw the location of our ceremony - it was perfect!. Michele bought the legal papers to us at the villa to sign a couple of days before and ran through some details... it was such a hardship having to get off the sunlounger for half an hour! Then a few days later we had our big day! There were 9 guests excluding Mick & myself. It was small & personal, just as we wanted. We had the ceremony on the lawn and I walked to meet my future husband over palm leaves and petals with the sea & mountains in the background. Everything from the flowers & ceremony to the steel band & canapés was perfect & we wouldn't change a thing. We had Mikael & Chris, the Photographer & Videographer who were recommended by ACW. Photo's ...... Apart from the few formal photo's we requested, we didn't really notice Mikael was there! We've had so many comments on them & are struggling to decide which one to frame as they're all so good! My Dad (who hates photos being taken) really loves them - believe me, that's a first!! If you have any doubts about getting married abroad - don't, I was surprised at how easy the whole experience was. I had so many questions which were always met with a prompt reply full of suggestions & solutions! Nothing was too much trouble. No words can describe how fantastic Kayt and Michele were. We got married at the Private beach . The location the setting, the flowers, violinist, photographer and the videographer were absolutely amazing. It was far more beautiful than we ever imagined or dreamed of. It really was what dreams are made of. I first got in touch with Kayt the previous year to our chosen wedding date and had been in constant touch by email with her right up to the day before we set out on our memorable journey to St. Lucia . The photos. Thank you so much Mikael for the fabulous photos. We never expected them to turn out so well. Everybody who has seen them says it looks like paradise - which it was. When I left them to be printed I was asked "who took these photos they are amazing". You were very patient with us and our families when you were organizing us for the group photos. The best way to describe Kayt and Awesome Caribbean Weddings is exceptional. Our wedding week was absolutely perfect from start to finish! I originally selected AWC because I did not want a “cookie-cutter” resort wedding. They had so many ceremony and reception options that offered privacy and unique settings, the possibilities for our wedding seemed endless. Even with the many options to choose from, the process of planning was completely painless, stress-free, and fun. Everything was tailored to our wishes and budget. Kayt kept us updated on everything throughout the planning process and always responded to our questions very quickly. Kayt recommended very reasonably priced lodging for our 30 guests (The Coco Palm in Rodney Bay is fantastic, by the way) and coordinated a sunset cruise and a beach BBQ in the days leading up to the wedding. Kayt even took the time to write a letter to our guests with the wedding week’s itinerary and other helpful information. Once we arrived in St. Lucia, Kayt met with us to finalize the details a few days before the wedding. She made us feel like we were friends, not just clients. It made all the difference to know that every detail had been considered and each event planned accordingly. We were able to relax and spend time with friends and family because we knew Kayt had taken care of everything in advance. All we had to do was show up and have a great time. As we arrived at each event on mini-busses provided by AWC, Kayt always made an appearance to make sure things were running smoothly. Our cruise was spectacular and the beach BBQ was just what we wanted—right on the water, laid back and casual, and with delicious food and friendly service. We even had a medical situation on our sunset cruise and, without us even calling Kayt, she had arranged for a doctor and transportation to a hospital before we even got off the boat!!! Then she came to the hotel just to make sure everything was okay. We really could not have asked for more consideration and kindness from her. The staff at Coco Palm was also extremely helpful with the medical arrangements. They even sent up flowers and a bottle of wine the next day as a “get well” gesture. The cliff wedding ceremony on Pigeon Island was just beautiful. The tent and chairs were decorated with tropical flowers and the scenery was amazing. After the ceremony, our guests found the old tavern on Pigeon Island and had a few drinks while we took pictures among the ruins and on the beach. Mikael, our photographer, was great as well. He took hundreds of pictures, but was never intrusive. And the pictures turned out to be amazing. I can honestly say (although I may be a little biased) that I’ve never seen wedding photos so beautiful. He is a truly gifted photographer. Our reception was held at The Edge restaurant. The location right on the water was beautiful and the table settings were lovely. The food was, without a doubt, the best we had on the island. From the canapés to the dessert, the presentation was extraordinary (we took pictures to remember it!) and the food was delicious. There was a nice separate area for dancing and other people dining at the restaurant came over to congratulate us and even joined in the dancing. It was great fun and the service was first-rate. All our guests raved about The Edge after the reception, and with good reason! I cannot say enough about what an extraordinary job Kayt and AWC did planning and executing our wedding week. My husband and I love the Caribbean, so when we got engaged, we knew we wanted to Michele was very helpful with suggestions and promptly responded to any questions that we had. She also answered questions from our guests, some of whom contacted her numerous times. Thanks for your patience, Michele! Having never been to St. Lucia before, we were both a little nervous about how everything would turn out. So, a couple of months before our wedding date, we decided to take a trip down to St. Lucia. Michele met us at our hotel and drove us around to see the ceremony location, the other hotels and the reception venues. She really listened to what we wanted and was never pushy about anything. We were relieved after meeting Michele because we knew were in good hands. The wedding itself was amazing. The day before, Michele organized a sunset catamaran cruise for us and our guests. Everyone had such a wonderful time. On the big day, we had nothing to do, except to get ready and show up to the ceremony. Michele and her team handled everything. Michele’s colleague, Kayt met our guests at the reception site, while Michele wrapped up at the ceremony location. We arrived by boat to The Edge Restaurant and were greeted by our happy, and well-taken care of, guests. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food was amazing. The DJ that Michele recommended was wonderful as well. All our guests told us what a great time they had. Having someone else take care of all the details allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. In addition to the traditional shots, Mikael took many candids that really captured the moment. We didn’t even know he was there taking all those shots! Our photos were available on line shortly after our wedding, which allowed us to re-live the amazing day. Thanks again, Mikael.
Bill and I have always wanted to be married on a beach. We first visited St. Lucia a cruise and quickly decided that it was the perfect island for a destination wedding. We compared the different wedding coordinators that were online at stlucia.org and quickly decided that Awesome Caribbean Weddings (AWC) had the most personal touches and attention. We could not have been more correct! From the very beginning Kayt was helpful and thoughtful providing lots of options but never overwhelmed us. I can’t express how grateful we are to have had Kayt as a coordinator! She kept all the details organized and her suggestions were greatly appreciated. From the moment we began planning we were kept abreast of goings on, such as our chosen reception site being sold and a new patio being built at a different restaurant. We followed her suggestions and were blown away with the results! Kayt made sure that we had everything we needed and were prepared to get married. We knew that she was planning to meet us at our resort, but expected to be carted to and from a lawyer’s office. To our very welcomed surprise we never had to leave our big, comfortable chairs and the JP came to the hotel to see us!! Kayt took care of everything so we could enjoy our time in paradise. No detail was left out from extra flowers for my hair to an emergency tent when rain threatened the skies. I have rarely been so well taken care of! Our families were not so keen on the idea of using a coordinator outside of a resort and kept asking why we wouldn’t. Initially we looked into the resort weddings but they were all very similar and didn’t allow us to make any decisions as to decorations or flowers and did not offer the choice of a private setting. Neither of us liked the idea of being on a public beach and having strangers gawk at us. We were able to be married on a private beach and go to a resort where everything revolved around us and it could not have been more perfect! Both of our parents are still raving about the wedding and what a smart choice to use AWC. The beach was beautiful and private and the restaurant Jacques was equally as private and the best food we had while on the island! The whole experience was so amazing that any expectations we had pale in comparison to what we actually received. Everyone who works for or with AWC could not have been more pleasant and professional. Mikael was so nice and took so many beautiful pictures. I’m not sure how he did it but you can actually feel what it was like to be there that day just by looking at the pictures! His timing is impeccable and was able to capture the joy on all of our faces! Posed pictures were difficult to get because it rained after we were married but the candid pictures more than make up for it. Our videographer, Chris, did a phenomenal job at creating our video and we were surprised at how quickly he works. The video opens with scenes from St. Lucia and the whole video is set to music we used at our wedding and closes with our family members wishing us well and offering advice. The first time my family watched it we all cried it was so beautiful. Mikael and Chris both offered to meet with us the next day on the beach to get more posed photos. Although we opted not to, we were blown away by the lengths they were willing to go to in order to make our day perfect! Bill and I are so grateful to have had Mikael and Chris both be a part of our day. Awesome Caribbean Weddings made our beautiful day possible. We are laid-back, fun-loving people and Kayt, Fenella, Mikael, and Chris meshed so well with the whole family that our whole family is still telling anyone who will listen how perfect the day was. Now to the photos, Wow!!!!! how can i choose, could you please tell Mikael i want them all. Honestly i do, he is a genius they are amazing. I never knew he took so many photos i never really was aware of him taking any till you took Peter and i away to get photos on our own. In amidst some of the windswept ones there is quite a few really stunning photos. I even have seen one i want blown up into a full poster size, its one that's too good for an album. Im not really into portrait hanging at home but this picture is simple breathtaking. I am really delighted with them, please pass on my gratitude to Mikael. Once again Michele thank you and can i suggest or perhaps you may already do this but do you do any anniversary packages. Back in July of 2004, my soul mate asked to marry me. Because I love the beach so much and we love being outside and nature, I knew we would not have a traditional wedding inside a building. And because I was going to marry the love of my life, I wanted us to commit our lives to each other in the most magical and tropical place I could find. After considering several locations and failed attempts of trying to communicate with various resort wedding planners, I was very discouraged. With the locations I was considering, I was finding out over and over again, that I could not have the beach ceremony I had always dreamed of. Resort, wedding coordinators were not responsive like I wanted. I was about to give up. Then, after reading several Jet magazines, I was noticing St. Lucia as a popular honeymoon destination. I searched the web for a wedding planner in St. Lucia and found Awesome Caribbean Weddings. I emailed them and crossed my fingers.The rest is history. Kayt emailed me back right away, and I have emailed her ever since for two years. I explained my every wish to Kayt and she bought every wish to life. Even on a shoe string budget. She was there whenever I needed her. Kayt is friendly, nice, patient, observant, and she listens to her couple. She is so organized and on top of things. Kayt turned my dream into a reality. My wedding on the beach on Pigeon Island turned out to be more than I imagined. It was absolutely beautiful. Even my spouse cried taking in all of the beauty that was surrounding us that day. The canopy Kayt had constructed from a photo I sent her was even more beautiful than the photo itself. I feel so special because of my wedding day. What an awesome way to start a new life. Everyone who attended my wedding is still talking about it and how beautiful St. Lucia is. No one knew what we were really in store for until we got there and saw the beauty of that island and it's people. I

From that first contact I was reassured that we had made the right choice in choosing a wedding planner to create a personal wedding, rather than choose an off-the-shelf hotel package or try to do everything ourselves. Michele’s answer was prompt and professional with a personal feel. The next eight months were typified by almost weekly contact with Michele: we asked daft questions and received sensible replies; we changed our minds then we changed them back again; we added extra guests; we changed the musicians; and we often took a long time to make decisions. Michele took all of this in her stride and managed the whole event seamlessly. We met her on the day after we arrived on the island and made a few changes there and then! (I think she’d have been disappointed if we didn’t) Michele is well connected on the island and managed to get our last-minute requests sorted even though it was the middle of a major sporting event and the island’s resources were stretched to the limit. The mother-of–the-bride saw a procession of 7 beach weddings on her first day at one of the large resorts. None of them seemed to be ‘special’ they were churned out with the same taped music and the same standard photographs. This couldn’t be further from our experience with Awesome Weddings. We were never made to feel like ‘just another couple’. At all times, in the UK and in St Lucia, I felt that we were the most important wedding that Michele was planning and we had her full attention
On the Day Our family and friends were scattered in different hotels along the west coast of St Lucia. This wasn’t a problem for the Awesome team. The timings were well planned and everybody was picked up in nice cars and delivered to the cliff top on time. The (beautiful) flowers were already at the venue along with lots of cold water. Michele ‘stage-managed’ the arrival of the bride so that the groom didn’t see her until she reached the top of the ‘Aisle’ and the music was flawlessly timed. The location that we had chosen from photographs was amazing – even better than we had imagined. Michele described it to us and we had managed to find it a few days before the wedding. It was naturally beautiful, quiet (apart from the crash of the waves) and secluded and there was no evidence that a wedding had ever taken place there. So imagine our delight on the day when the site made even prettier by the decorations. The ceremony was perfect. Mr Prudent, the Marriage Officer, has a charming personality and is a special character. He made sure that we focussed only on each other during the ceremony and gave real meaning to the standard wording. He also blended our own ceremony elements in seamlessly. MusiciansWe chose to have the String Ensemble at the ceremony and the steel band at the wedding breakfast. Both sets of musicians were excellent and played music to fit the mood of the specific part of the day. The strings were romantic and had a fairly wide repertoire and the steel band was great fun. They played romantic pieces during the meal – ‘guess that tune’ was a great game to play – and had everybody up dancing to lively music afterwards. Photographs and VideoMikael the Photographer and Chris the Videographer were both amazing. We hardly noticed them during the ceremony but upon receiving the photographs we discovered that they must have been dashing about to get shots from so many different angles. They worked very well together as a partnership, each suggesting angles and shots to the other, to get an even better colour sky for the background or sharing the great view that they had found. They were never intrusive and were so good-humoured that they put everyone at their ease. They even managed to get some nice photos of the (camera-shy) bride. Chris and Mikael did a great job of capturing our happiness. The standard of the photographs and the video is incredible – several people have asked whether we were standing in front of a painted background! We couldn’t have been happier with the end results but we put this down to how happy we were on the day. This was due to the way that Mikael and Chris worked – they kept us laughing and allowed us lots of time to relax between poses. If anyone were having trouble deciding whether to have photographs or a video, our advice would be to go for both if possible. The day flies by so quickly that it is difficult to take it all in. The video captures those parts of the day that you don’t see or didn’t notice at the time. Thank YouSo thanks to Michele and the Awesome team. Thanks for recognising what we would be worrying about and taking time out of Cricket to organise last-minute extras. The photos My husband and I were very fortunate to have Mikael to photograph our wedding at Pigeon Island. I was so excited when I found out he likes to do more of candid shots then actual posing because you can always get someone’s true expression when they are not expecting it. On my wedding day I wanted to really capture the faces of everyone in that moment and that is what Mikael did and then some. He was so wanting to please and get every angle he could in every snapshot. It was wonderful that he took so much time to make sure he got the best shot for that one picture. What was really great he took us all around and he was on top of hills and on the ground just trying to get it from any way he could, just to make the picture look different. Actually, it was nice how he took us all around for different background but really the best part was he took us away from the family and friends so we could relax while taking our pictures. My family was so impressed when they found out how many pictures he took within only a few hours. We took the option of having Mikael pick out our photos for the CD to take home with us and we are so glad we did because he would have been so hard to chose. All the pictures were stunning! Everyone that we show our pictures to think they are so fantastic, some even ask us if that was a real background or just a screen. Me and Ryan were just overly impressed with how great he was on our wedding day and still to this day when I’m trying to order the extras. Thanks so much Mikael, no one could have done it better! Liquid sunshine is what Michele told us falls from the sky when it rains on your wedding In awe, I began to cry. I was completely overcome by Pigeon Island and the flawlessness laid out before me. Michele immediately greeted me as soon as we arrived to the ceremony. Michele, being the perfectionist that she is, insisted on carrying my train as I began my descent to the stairs. She wanted to ensure that my thoughts were solely on my groom and the ceremony before us. I think she also wanted to make sure I didn’t tumble down the stairs. After the vows were read and the tears were shed, we finished the ceremony with a lovely toast and many pictures. Our photographs were taken by the very sweet and talented Mikael set with a background much to exquisite to capture in words. Our reception casually followed at the lovely Jacques. From dinner to dessert the food was prepared to perfection. The presentation was as eloquent as it was delicious and the staff was more than accommodating for all of our guests needs. And the cake, oh that fabulous cake, which was by far, out of this world. Michele had previously told me how delicious the cakes are and how Kayt had asked for a piece to be saved for her. But, as typical wedding cakes go, my first thought was, why would someone want a piece of wedding cake saved for them, when they can get a better cake from Betty Crocker! Much to my sarcasm, I melted at first bite. I had never tasted a wedding cake quite so delicious. The cake was phenomenal, the perfect cake for the perfect day! The feature of our night, aside from the cake, was the band Ten90. They were a fabulous band that managed to keep everyone of our guests on their toes with their beautiful voices, charisma and island charm. Unfortunately our night had to come to an end. Michele was successful in making our wedding day the best day of our lives. Beyond our expectations she managed a team of professionals that made every minute of our day a dream. Michele was constantly working behind the scenes making sure every detail was perfect and personalized. From the beginning, she listened to what we wanted and knew what would harmonize with our needs. Treasured Memories! Mikael, thank you so much for the fantastic photographs – you really have captured our wedding day perfectly. We loved the CD so much we bought all 474 photographs, and are now finding it difficult to choose some to frame! Since we were the only ones able to make it, the pictures were an important part to our wedding. Mikael went above and beyond our expectations; our photos truly captured our love for each other. Our friends and family cannot stop raving about how spectacular our photos turned out. Not only were his artistic techniques used on some of our photos ingenious but his sunset and beach scenes were simply phenomenal. In our brief time working with Mikael he was professional, courteous, and made us feel at ease during our big day. My fiance Lance and I knew that we wanted to have a destination wedding, but were having a hard time deciding where. We wanted the location to be someplace that the two of us had never been as well as our guests; we also wanted the location to be romantic and beautiful. My reasons for choosing ACW to plan our wedding were two-fold. Firstly, there are the pictures! The weddings on ACW’s website photographed by Mikael Lamber were absolutely stunning. To me the pictures were crucial, aside from the marriage the photos are the most lasting thing from a wedding.
what my options were. She was also really good about working through my budget with me. We had tight funds and wanted the best value for our money (who doesn't?). Every time I would change something she would send an updated itemized estimate. This made it really easy for us to see where our money was going and what we were actually going to get in return. It also let me know that each one of my requests had been incorporated into our wedding program. 
He was especially dreading the picture taking but Mikael and our videographer, Chris were amazing. They really knew just what they were doing. They had tons of ideas for how to pose us and also how to get us to relax and get candid shots. They were such a riot. My husband even enjoyed it! And the photos came out beautifully. Of course what wouldn't look great on a beach in St. Lucia?!
I was working with ACW. I didn't feel as well taken care of. The saving grace for our reception was the food. It was catered by the Coco restaurant Ti Bannane and was honestly the best we had during our entire stay on the island. Go for the crab cakes, they’re noting like the little fried patties we have here. But all in all if you're considering a reception, I'd advise letting ACW coordinate that, too. They can host a party just about anywhere.

My parents had introduced me to the islands of the Caribbean when I was 14, from that time on, I knew I would someday be married on a beach in the Caribbean. It was my dream, my fairy tale. I had never been to St. Lucia, but my parents had, and I knew it was beautiful. Justin and I are very active people, so we wanted an island that offered a diverse environment. So, we decided to make St. Lucia our wedding destination. When Justin and I first brought the island wedding idea up to my parents, there were immediate concerns on their part. They were worried that the ceremony would not be special, and that it would be like the other ceremonies that they had seen while staying at the various resorts on the islands. From what they had seen, the ceremonies were rushed, and not individualized at all. There was no meaning, no sentiment. At one point, they had seen brides and grooms lined up before a gazebo; they were being married like they had taken numbers and gotten in line. This was not what my parents wanted for us, and it was not what we wanted either. 
Caribbean Weddings was our wedding coordinator and I cannot say enough great things about her and her company. With a few simple decisions on our part, they made the entire process entirely stress-free and unbelievably easy for us. Then when we arrived at the wedding, everything was absolutely perfect and the attention to detail was amazing. Everything was in order and went seamlessly. We were also very impressed with Awesome Caribbean Wedding's (ACW) responsiveness to all of our e-mails in the planning process. Because there were 2 couples getting married, communication was very important between the two couples and Awesome Caribbean Weddings . I was so happy with how all of the e-mail communication we had with Michele and ACW was extremely timely and professional. Since we've been home, I have raved about how perfect the wedding was and how effortless it seemed on our part. I would highly recommend ACW and in fact, have told several of my friends to get their information from me if they ever decide to do a Caribbean wedding. Thanks to ACW for making our important day so perfect! 
My husband and I were looking forward to our Caribbean wedding in St. Lucia, but we didn't know exactly how to go about planning it. We found Awesome Caribbean Weddings on the internet. I was a little leery at first to trust a stranger in another country to plan our wedding. After corresponding with Michele through emails and phone calls, I decided to go for it. It was the best decision I had ever made. Michele responded to all of my many emails the next day. She was organized and very thorough. I felt comfortable and confident that my wedding was in good hands. When I pulled up to our beach location at Pigeon Beach I could see the layout of our wedding. It was perfect. My guest were picked up at there hotels and seated before I arrived. It was so beautiful. I could not have asked for a prettier ceremony. Everything went so smoothly and it was completely STRESS FREE!!! Who could ask for anything more. Thank you Michele and staff for making all of my wedding dreams come true!

Ever since I can remember, my dream wedding has been to have a private, barefoot ceremony on the sandy beach of a tropical island, so when we got engaged, I immediately began searching for the perfect site. I was very sure about 2 things: I didn't want a "cookie-cutter" resort wedding and I wanted to make sure that I would have a lot of fabulous photographs of our day.

St. Lucia. We had about a million different thoughts and ideas, and she managed to make them all work out. The location that she found was gorgeous and perfectly set up, we were able to customize everything, and it all turned out exactly as we envisioned it (including floating water lilies in the pool that our guests thought were remote controlled, they formed such lovely patterns when they moved!).
The baker managed to combine two pictures of cakes into one lovely dessert, as well as constructing a groom's cake that looked like a chess board; our photographs turned out beautifully, the video work captured just what we wanted; the cellist did a wonderful job & let us customize the entire playlist from his repetoire, and the DJ kept everyone dancing! 
I always knew I wanted to get married abroad but when we decided on a date I really didn't know where to start. I e-mailed a couple of companies I found on the internet and to my surprise, had a reply almost instantly! My husband, Ryan, was deploying for the second time to Iraq and we only had a week till he left, so we decided to take the next step and get married before he left. We got married in the Deeds Office in North Carolina, not exactly the dream wedding for the average girl but I wasn’t complaining. We both decided we did not want to do the traditional wedding in the church then off to the civic center for the reception, we wanted something different that people would always remember. A few days before he left we came across the website for Awesome Caribbean Weddings in St. Lucia. Before Ryan deployed he gave me the okay to move forward on the planning of the wedding in St. Lucia. It is already hard enough for a female to plan a wedding but it is even harder trying to do it while the husband is in Iraq, because it takes about two days just to get his opinion on things. Even though, Michele could have not made it any easier for me then she did. She understood we now were looking for more of a vow renewal then an actual wedding and that was no problem with her. Trust me I had question after question and she was always there with her reply later that day or the next morning. I always complimented her on how quickly she responded to ALL of my questions. They made everything so easy, they gave me tons of choices and even room to come up with my own ideas. They are so eager to please!! She met with us the morning after we arrived to go over the final plans and she was so on point with things. If was so fantastic to know that we could enjoy our vacation and not be running around trying to take care of wedding plans. I did not have to worry about one thing until the actual wedding day and the most of my worries was trying to decide what time I should start getting dressed. When I got to the wedding site at Pigeon’s Island I was blown away, the view was stunning and the decorations were just an added bonus. Our reception was at Jacques and that was the most amazing dinner I have ever had. We were fortunate enough to have our dinner on the brand new deck that they built. All of our guest keep telling us how wonderful their meals where and that the service was terrific. I know for me that was a concern, to make sure not only that we are having a great time but also my guest. The highlight for me was the cake, I found a certain design for my cake on the internet and asked to have it made similar to that. Amazing!! The cake was so beautiful, everything that I wanted was done to perfection.
