As we had both been married before and neither of us was keen on a large ceremony we decided to elope to St. Lucia taking with us only our three sons. We booked our flights and villa via the Internet and were planning on organising the wedding from our PC in the UK . However, it soon became apparent that this was an awesome task. Although we were aware that companies existed who would arrange weddings for you we did not think that they would be interested in the low-key affair that we wanted and, if they did take us on, would probably not give us as much attention as they would to a big-budget production. How wrong we were!

Having looked at a few options on the Internet we liked the look of the Awesome Caribbean Weddings website and were particularly taken with the fact that they “only did one wedding a day”. We filled in the enquiry form and sent it off. At first we were somewhat overcome with the choices on offer but the descriptions of the available venues were excellent and we soon opted for the beach wedding. Despite this being the least expensive option their attention to detail was faultless. We are somewhat unconventional people and we must have had sixteen exchanges of emails regarding the flowers alone. The whole process was made simple and straightforward with all the options presented clearly and succinctly allowing us to make informed decisions we were instantly happy with.

The result of this attention to detail was that we didn't need to worry about any arrangements and could concentrate on enjoying our vacation right up to the afternoon of the wedding day. The event itself was totally stress free, ran smoothly and, above all, was thoroughly enjoyable. The Awesome Caribbean wedding team was attentive but discreet and kept our glasses full of Champagne throughout the photographs. They even had cool towels on hand for the occasional sweaty brow. The location, an idyllic sandy beach on Pigeon Island, was perfect. The Wedding Officer was friendly, witty and charming and the mood of the occasion was set perfectly by the guitarist, who played our favourite pieces of classical and Spanish music. We also now have over a hundred digital photographs to remind us of just how perfect our wedding was. Oh, and by the way, the flowers were exactly what we wanted!

We were undecided at first about having the ceremony filmed. We have both sat through other peoples wedding videos, stifling our yawns, and cringing at the cheesiness of the footage on the screen. However, as we were leaving most of our family and all of our friends behind in the UK we felt it was only fair to take them all back a record of the event. This was the single best decision we made. From the first run-through in our villa just three days after the wedding, we were blown away. The videographer, who had worked through the night to get the film ready before we flew home, said that he had never seen the bridegroom cry at the preview before! He has somehow managed to take two very ordinary people and turn them into film stars. We have since shown the DVD to our family and friends and they too have been overwhelmed. One friend commented that it was like watching a music video and, considering that we gave him less than 24 hours notice of one of our choices of music, the merging of images to lyrics of two of our favourite songs still brings lumps to our throats, even after countless viewings.

Despite us opting for a low-key and inexpensive wedding no corners were cut. We were treated to first class service with a personal touch.

We want to thank Awesome Caribbean Weddings for working diligently over the course of 10 months to make our wildest wedding fantasies a reality.   Each event, which included a “Welcome to the Island BBQ”, a catamaran trip to Soufriere for a rainforest hike and swim in a waterfall, a 5-star gourmet Asian-fusion rehearsal dinner, an unspeakably amazing wedding celebration and a farewell brunch, were sensationally planned.  

The mood was set by the off the beaten path accommodations. Sunsets at the villa and breakfast each morning in the gazebo overlooking the ocean melted away our worldly stresses and induced the most blissful mindset. Each of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the small villa-style hotels in which they stayed.

The welcome BBQ was a brilliant way to kick-off the festivities (thank you!).   Andy, our delightful host, threw quite a party. We will never forget the outrageous spread or his superlative hospitality.

Friday, our trip to the rainforest, was spectacular as well. Laying on the nets on the front of the catamaran cruising down the western coast of the island to Soufriere was a highlight of the trip. When the safari jeeps picked us up at the bay the group was energized. Leo, one of our guides, was extremely knowledgeable on the rainforest ecosystem, making the hike an educational experience as well as a fantastic adventure. The waterfall and swimming hole were the glorious climax of a fantastic hike.

The rehearsal dinner over looking the beach was elegant, the service was phenomenal and, as Ginger's father said, it was “some of the best food I've ever had.”   Thank you also for solving our “to sushi or not to sushi” crisis. Your compromise was brilliant. You are exceptionally skilled in making everything right.

As for the ceremony itself, fairy tales do come true! Every detail was perfect. All of the hard work we put into it all came together in a magical wedding celebration at the Estate House. We had some very specific ideas about the things we wanted, like bohemian candles and Blue Label Scotch. Thank you for ensuring that the reality matched our fantasy. The only limit was our imaginations. The flowers and decorations were gorgeous and we absolutely loved all of the music. Lawrence did such a great job with the songs. His voice is so sweet and romantic. And the band . . . they were so much fun. Some of our most memorable moments occurred on the dance floor.

We floated through the Sunday morning brunch as overwhelmed newlyweds.   The restaurant continued the theme of the weekend . . . excellent food, drink and company.

It's important for brides-to-be to know how enjoyable you made the planning. There are many things about getting married that can be completely overwhelming and stressful and you guys never added stress or anxiety to Ginger's day. She would turn our computer on and look forward to your e-mails, which included all kinds of information, pictures, options, etc. You solved problems, made everyone happy and made our wedding dreams come true.

We just finished watching the video . . . Wow! He did such a great job.   And the photos were excellent too.   The hardest thing is going to be to choose the pictures for the album. There are too many good ones.

In sum, we want to send our most sincere thanks for making the best week of our lives possible. As you both know by now, Jeff and I think you are saints. There is really no way for us to thank you for all you have done for us. You gave us a perfect wedding in paradise without any stress (and anyone who knows me can tell you that it is a near impossible task to make anything stress free for me! It is nothing short of a miracle!). We could not have done it without you, and we just feel we owe you such a debt of gratitude. You truly made our dream wedding come true!

We've been looking at our wedding photos almost every day since we came home from St. Lucia and we honestly just can't believe how beautiful and perfect everything was. We show other people the photos and they can't even believe the background in the photographs is real. When we asked for a ‘wedding with a view' we had no idea just how spectacular the view would be! And we really appreciate you throwing in the rainbow at no extra charge!

We knew right from the start that we had found something good in you two. You always made us feel like we were the only people you were dealing with, and your response time and professionalism for all of our questions and requests (big, small, important, stupid, and down right bizarre) was just amazing. I don't know how you do it! Your attention to detail and excellent taste made it so easy to trust you. It is quite a leap of faith to let someone else plan your wedding - especially long distance, but from the very beginning we knew everything would be great. I still can't believe how much attention you put into every single detail from the planning stages right up to the actual event.

I could go on and on, but this will be 10 pages long if I go into detail about everything. In short: the flowers were beyond our expectations, the cake was gorgeous and delicious, the music was excellent (everyone is still talking about the steel pan band), the food, drinks and atmosphere at the reception location was wonderful (and the staff was so helpful and friendly). Our photographs are amazing. The welcome baskets were just what we had hoped for, and I won't even mention the donkey in case you use this as a testimonial and anyone else gets any crazy ideas. On our wedding day we were so happy anyway, but we were overwhelmed and overjoyed by how beautiful and perfect everything was. Our wedding day was the happiest day of our lives so far, and you also made it the most beautiful and special day as well!

But most important is that you are both amazing people who are just a joy to work with. Not only was our wedding day special and amazing but you made us feel so important and special, too.

From the time we made our initial enquiry back in January up until the big day in October, Michele made everything seem so easy. We received prompt responses to all of our enquiries and nothing seemed too much trouble for them to handle.

The day itself exceeded even our own hopes and expectations. We were all taken aback by just how magnificent the views were from our chosen venue, La Haut Plantation in Soufriere ; the Pitons seemed to be placed in the background just for us! Somehow, you even managed to stop torrential rain from falling prior to the ceremony. You obviously have some very good connections in high places!

It's impossible for any photographs to reflect the true beauty of our wedding location. What made it more astonishing was the fact that we didn't visit the location prior to the wedding day. Consequently, we were all to a man overwhelmed by the lushness and peacefulness of the landscape.

Everyone was looked after really well, especially us. We had a large amount of guests, and not one of them felt neglected. And Kayt even did some emergency babysitting with our son Cameron, who was a little upset just before the start of the ceremony. What a lifesaver!

Everything just seemed to flow, and we had nothing to do but relax and enjoy the day. Our guests all remarked on how well organised the day was – and how extraordinary the attention to detail was. Michele and Kayt were present, and yet inconspicuous and unobtrusive; no mean feat! They more than ensured that the day ran seamlessly. Our day is still a talking point for all who attended.

Firstly I would like to thank you both for making our wedding day truly the best day of our lives. After many frustrating phone calls with other companies at last I found Awesome Caribbean Weddings . From the start you were both very efficient, professional, accommodating and helpful. If any bride to be wants a less stressful wedding in beautiful St Lucia, with as much or as little input into the planning as you choose, then I highly recommend Awesome Caribbean Weddings .

We arrived on the island a few days before our guests and booked into the Ginger Lily Hotel. A very friendly hotel and the rooms were beautiful and clean, after a day at the beach we came back to fresh petals sprinkled on the bed. After some amazing day trips, including a Catamaran trip to Soufriere in the south of the island, a Helicopter ride which was spectacular and a beautiful rainforest walk, we really had seen St Lucia at it's best.

We had a Barbecue the night before the wedding at the Ginger Lily, they really laid on a fantastic array of food. We also had some Caribbean style entertainment with a Steel Pan Band who were just fantastic. It was a blast and the perfect way to spend our last evening as Miss Martin and Mr Fee.

The best was yet to come. We got married in a lovely gazebo surrounded by lawns, which was absolutely stunning. It was the perfect day, the flowers were spectacular, the String Ensemble really captured St Lucia, the marriage officer was delightful and the photographer was excellent. We ended up buying all the extra photo's he took as they were so good. If you are undecided on getting your ceremony videoed, then take my advice and definitely have one, it has been well worth the money and we have really enjoyed showing the DVD to family and friends that were unable to come. We decided on Froggie Jacques as our reception venue and it was just awesome, with a lovely bayside vista and having the place to ourselves was a bonus. We had eaten some amazing food whilst in St Lucia, but this just far exceeded our expectations. The owners were so accommodating and joined in with all the fun, they were more like our friends by the end of the night. For the entertainment we had fire eating, which was guest participation and limbo dancing and the DJ was excellent playing all our requested songs.

My advice to any couple who want a destination wedding in St Lucia is to definitely go with Awesome Caribbean Weddings . If you are honeymooning on the island then the most romantic part is definitely the south, with Anse Chastanet and the Jalousie Hilton a hit with us.

Just a note to let you know that we couldn’t have been more pleased with our wedding at the cliff location and reception at Froggie Jack’s. We all had the most wonderful time. The cliff top site was beautiful, the flowers gorgeous and attention to detail so appreciated. We choose this type of wedding because we didn’t want the stress associated with planning such an event. To cap if off the wonderful boat ride down to Ladera was perfect. The whole day was like a fantasy. Then, I was amazed how wonderful the pictures turned out, we couldn’t ask for anything more. On the way to the beach the driver asked me if I was nervous...I just told him that I wasn't nervous at all, just excited and couldn't he drive any faster?!!  I was so excited to be married that I just wanted to get there!

All in all we were both so pleased with our wedding day, and so sad that it is over.  Our only true regret is that we didn't hire the videographer!  To anyone out there considering it but thinking it might be too much money....just do it!!!  You'll never remember everything as well as you wish you did!

I say “experience” and not just “day” because it wasn't just about the day, but the journey leading up to the day and the time spent in St Lucia before and after the ceremony, which are all so memorable. You really made our dream come true and having the ceremony on the secluded beach was just what we wanted! The pictures with the surf in the background are gorgeous!

The Hotel Capri was the perfect setting for the reception. Dancing around the pool was just what we wanted. The atmosphere was romantic and elegant and everything we imagined. The tables looked gorgeous with the flowers and candles. We are so happy that we booked it exclusively for the 4 days prior to the ceremony, with our families. We really felt like it was our home and everyone was so relaxed. Andy and his staff were wonderful! Renting the small villa “Smugglers Point” for the 5 days after the ceremony was the perfect way to spend our honeymoon. What a beautiful spot and views!

Having you and your staff at our sides through out the 10 months of planning really made it so easy for us and I truly was not nervous at all on our wedding day! I didn't have to think of a thing! The band was excellent and I am so glad they were able to learn our wedding songs! We were really pleased with the guitar player on the beach! I finally got to hear him when we were watching the wedding video! The food was wonderful! Everyone still keeps talking about the ribs and our chocolate wedding cake! Oh yes and the flowers, what can I say! They were so very gorgeous.

We watch the video often and have shown many of our friends who were unable to be with us. The videographer did such a great job and of course we love our wedding pictures!

Amanda and I decided on St. Lucia because we needed a vacation; and because, we wanted to be able to spend large amounts of quality time with our family and friends -- who we encouraged to arrive several days prior to our actual wedding day. With guidance from

From the moment that I visited your website and spoke to you on the phone I knew that having a wedding in St.. Lucia on the beach was the right decision.  Todd and I were able to make a list of things that we did and did not want for our wedding day, set a budget for ourselves and still feel like it would be exactly what we envisioned.  When the day finally arrived, it was above and

My fiance and I had this really cool idea about getting married in St. Lucia and did not give much thought to the logistics of it all. Had it not been for the lovely people at Awesome Caribbean Weddings, we would probably still be there now some six weeks later trying to get it all together.

When we first decided on the wedding we thought we would be able to organise it ourselves, but as we looked deeper into it we quickly realised that this would not be possible given our time schedule and we would need some professional help and as we did not know how to contact Thunderbird 5 we chose the next best thing, Awesome Caribbean Weddings. We were very sceptical at first about parting with money to give to someone we had never met, although the website looked impressive enough and this company looked like the answer to our dreams, we had doubts because it all seemed to good to be true.

Being a typical non - trusting Essex boy I always think the worse. I was paying out money for flowers, video, a photographer, champagne, transport, you name it, but the company was four and a half thousand miles away and i really was not sure if anything would have been done when I arrived in the Caribbean. I have been lucky enough to have visited this part of the world many times and for those of you that have also, you know how horizontally laid back life is out there. Life ambles along at no more than one mile per hour and things take time to happen, so I was expecting dodgy wedding photographs and nothing organised at all and everything to be a last minute rush. I am very pleased to say, how wrong was I.

Our wedding was the best wedding I have ever been to and even if I was a millionaire and spent hundreds of thousands of pounds it could not have been any better. 'The Firm' had organised everything and they were flexible enough to make minor changes even after we arrived on the island, mainly involving the guy's traveling on a separate minibus to the girl's. I thought it would be traditional if I did not see my bride until we arrived at the waterfall site in the rain forest, but fortunately it also meant that the chaps could stop off at the local BeerKellar in Anse Le Raye for a glass of the landlords finest bitter. The whole day went like clockwork and even though it is a bit of a drive to the waterfall, I would recommend anyone to consider it for their ceremony. Michele and Kayt had taken care of everything and all we had to do was turn up on the day and go through with
it, no stress, no worries and i can honestly say that using the services of Awesome Caribbean Weddings was one of the best decisions we have ever made and i promised Michele that I would use them again the next time I get married.

Just to finish on a serious note, it was a pleasure meeting Michele, she is genuinely a lovely lady and with Kayt they gave us the perfect start to our married life. We will never forget our very special wedding day on June 3rd 2004, or was it the 4th?

Awesome Caribbean Weddings can simply create that dream wedding to perfection, and we cannot thank them enough for the unique and tailor made wedding they provided for us.  They made our day truly special.

We got married at a beach that was idyllic, it was secluded with a fantastic view of Pigeon Island and the Unicorn Brig even made an appearance just in time for the photographs.

Once our wedding vows were complete, we were never rushed. We were able to sit back and relax and enjoy this beautiful setting, sipping champagne that just keeps flowing glass after glass, having fun listening to the Steel Pan band playing local island music, which you both get to have a go - highly recommended!

The attention to detail for all aspects of the wedding was exemplary.  The island flowers were unlike ones I have seen before, they were beautiful!  The bouquet, boutonniere, floral decorations and the cake which was decorated with orchids were perfect.

Everyone worries about the photographs, with these guys there's no need to...the photographers are excellent, they certainly know what they are doing.  Our photographs are wonderful, with family and friends still commenting on how good they are.

A quick note to express our thanks for the hard work you put in to make our special day all we had ever hoped for and more.

The experience really was awesome. Not just the actual wedding day but the whole planning leading up to the day. There was something indefinable about the way in which the planning and arranging was conducted which created a very calm air of inevitability that the day was going to work out just fine. That feeling of inevitability was very reassuring and allowed us to relax and actually enjoy the planning of this special day. The way in which individual ideas were encouraged and built upon produced a completely unique and personal wedding as oppose to a conveyor belt style wedding, which we were very keen to avoid.

All the worries which we were led to believe was an unavoidable part of every wedding just did not materialise. From our initial contact with Awesome it become evident that we were dealing with complete professionals.

The attention to detail was superb and allowed us to exercise as much or as little involvement as we wished. The plethora of forms and procedures to be complied with in order to have a Catholic Church wedding abroad was truly initially daunting but was made clear, easy and manageable by the way we were guided through the process.

As for the wedding itself it was truly superb and will always remain in our memories, especially our eleventh hour snag that momentarily threatened to halt proceedings which was quickly resolved in that trademark calm, efficient, professional manner.

We had a superb day which at the end left us with only one regret…………that we couldn't rewind and do the whole Awesome experience over again in exactly the same way.

On our wedding day our gorgeous flowers arrived shortly after lunch, as did my hairstylist who quickly transformed me into a bride with an updo.  Our wedding guests departed for the ceremony location and my sister and I were picked up by Ernest and had a great drive to the beach.   

Our beach location looked beautiful.  We had two marquees, chairs for our guests and the flowers were amazing.  Orchids, ginger lilys and conch shells adorned an arch and the sand.  James, the Justice of the Peace, delivered a wonderful ceremony as 32 of our friends and family looked on.  A champagne toast followed and our guests enjoyed the beach setting and great music as we had our photographs taken.  Our photos are spectacular - our photographer Peter did fabulous job, and Michele was on site to make sure my veil was in just the right spot, and that the waves were timed perfectly.

We really can't praise you enough. From the moment we contacted you, through all the planning and preparation, we received truly first-class, individual service.

When we got engaged we were looking for a wedding with a difference. We knew we wanted to get married abroad but we didn't want it to be a conveyer belt hotel wedding. We tried to convey what we wanted to British Travel Agents and Tour Operators but they just didn't understand. When we enquired to Awesome Caribbean Weddings and you responded with a story detailing every moment of our perfect day we knew we'd found what we were looking for and how right we were! You went so out of your way to ensure we had the perfect day despite the heavens having other ideas! From Michelle's husband battling with the marquee in the rain to Michelle having her ear permanently attached to her mobile trying to reorganise everything and keep everything running smoothly. Your decision to move the reception venue meant we had this wonderful venue entirely to ourselves as the steel band played and the champagne flowed.
